Jennifer Boehm Groszek

Jennifer Boehm Groszek received a B.A. cum laude in Political Science, International Studies and French from the University of Wisconsin at Stevens Point in 1999. She received her Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University School of Law in December, 2001. She is licensed to practice in both the State of Illinois and the State of Missouri as well as the federal courts of: Northern District of Illinois, Northern District of Indiana, Western District of Michigan and Eastern District of Michigan.

Ms. Groszek gained extensive trial experience while working as an Assistant State's Attorney in Kane County, Illinois before joining Gunty & McCarthy in June, 2004. She is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association. Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, Defense Research Institute and Illinois Association of Defense Trial Counsel (IDC). Jennifer is the Chair of the IDC Young Lawyers Division. She was published in the IDC Quarterly where she co-authored the article, A Brief Repose, The Illinois Construction Statute of Repose (Fourth Quarter 2006, vol. 16, No. 4). Further, Jennifer is a columnist for the IDC Quarterly Young Lawers Division Report.

Jennifer also handles pro-bono VAWA-Immigration cases for the Legal Assistance Foundation and GAL-Minor cases for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. Jennifer's practice areas include general insurance defense litigation along with toxic tort, chemical exposure, asbestos, benzene and welding rod cases.
