Mary Ann O'Reilly

Mary Ann O'Reilly RN, JD received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Illinois and her Juris Doctorate from DePaul University College of Law. Ms. O'Reilly was actively engaged in the areas of Emergency Room Nursing and Medical Surgical Nursing prior to becoming an attorney. She currently holds a Clinical Adjunct Professorship at the University of Illinois College of Nursing where she has lectured on Medical Legal issues. In addition to her over twenty years experience in medical malpractice and personal injury defense litigation she has provided risk management consulting services to a variety of institutions. She has presented physicians before the Medical Malpractice Panel of the State of New York where she was an active member of the bar for five years. Ms. O'Reilly has extensive experience in defending mass tort litigation and in providing medical consultation in related matters. She has been Of Counsel to Gunty & McCarthy since 2003.
