Robert G. Freyder

Robert G. Freyder received a B.A. Degree in German from Beloit College, Beloit, Wisconsin in 1978; a Juris Doctorate Degree from Loyola University School of Law, Chicago, Illinois in 1981; and an L.L.M. Degree in Taxation from DePaul University Law School, Chicago, Illinois in 1988. While at Depaul University Law School, Mr. Freyder received the American Jurisprudence Award in Advanced Corporate Taxation.

Mr. Freyder has also successfully completed post-graduate legal programs at the Trial Technical Institute in Chicago, Illinois and at the College of Advocacy in Bloomington, Illinois.

Mr. Freyder has worked at several law firms in the Chicago Loop and suburban areas over the past twenty-five years. He has an extensive background in civil litigation, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in a wide variety of matters. Mr. Freyder has been involved in all facets of civil litigation and has completed many jury trials, bench trials, and arbitration hearings involving personal injury claims and business disputes. He also has a great deal of experience in real estate, commercial, corporate, estate planning, and appellate matters.

Mr. Freyder is a member of the Illinois State Bar, the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and has been admitted to the Northern District's Federal Trial Bar. He also serves as an arbitrator for the Cook County Mandatory Arbitration Program and he is an agent for a bar-related title insurance company. Mr. Freyder has been an attorney with Gunty & McCarthy since 2002, where he concentrates his practice in asbestos defense litigation, general insurance defense litigation, and insurance coverage litigation matters.

Mr. Freyder is an active member of his parish and parish school, having served as a school board committee chairman for several years. He is also very active in his communtiy as a youth league baseball and basketball coach for more than twenty-five teams that his children have played on over the past twelve years.
