JAMES B. WALTON received a B.A. in English from Loyola University Chicago in 1998, and a Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in 2007 where he served as a Staff Editor on the Denver Journal of International Law and Policy. He is admitted to the Illinois State Bar.
Mr. Walton has handled an array of insurance policy coverage issues including those pertaining to commercial general liability policies, commercial auto coverage policies, and excess and reinsurance matters. In addition to coverage work, Mr. Walton represents contractors in construction defect litigation and premises lawsuits. Mr. Walton has been involved in several cases at the appellate level. Prior to his legal career, Mr. Walton spent nine years as a Claims Specialist with a major insurance carrier and brings this unique perspective to his work as a civil defense attorney.
Mr. Walton's current practice areas include defending asbestos cases, and defending toxic tort, general negligence and product liability lawsuits.
