MARA E. COHEN received a B.A. in liberal arts from Indiana University in 1996 with a major in Sociology concentrating in the area of Criminal Justice. She has a minor in history. Ms. Cohen received her J.D. from John Marshall Law School in 2000.

Since her admission to the bar in 2000, Ms. Cohen has practiced insurance defense litigation. She currently specializes in the defense of asbestos matters, construction litigation and handles contract disputes, general negligence, and product liability claims and coverage matters.

Ms. Cohen is licensed in Illinois and is admitted to the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She is a member of the American Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association. Ms. Cohen is also an Illinois Defense Counsel member who participates on the Young Lawyers Division Committee.
