Recently Commissioned Kentucky Colonels

Gunty & McCarthy is pleased to announce that Susan Gunty and Stephen Milott were recently commissioned by the Hon. Steven L. Beshear, Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, as Kentucky Colonels in The Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels. A commission for Kentucky Colonel is the highest honor awarded by the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and is given only by the Governor to individuals in recognition of noteworthy accomplishments and outstanding service to a community, state or the nation. Both Col. Gunty and Col. Milott were commissioned in part for their successful legal defense of a Louisville, Kentucky manufacturer in a Cook County, Illinois asbestos trial in 2011. They join Col. James P. McCarthy as the second and third Kentucky Colonels at Gunty & McCarthy.
